Re: orion Divorce and poligamy in NT and DSS



Paul says that an overseer within the church should be the husband of
but one wife (I Tim 3:2). Although this statement alone does not outlaw
polygamy, it gives a strong argument against it. Paul obviously saw
polygamy as an inferior state to monogamy, if he did not completely
outlaw it.
