A word from a non-professional DSS enthusiast: DSS and early Christianity
are diverse branches of the same tree. No matter how much you try to
connect the branches, they don't fit. Treating the two as siblings or
cousins would be better than as parent/child.
Ocam's razor says" go with the simplest explanation that includes
all the facts. Whenever DSS researchers try to connect the scrolls with
Christianity they inevitably have to trot out a tortured line of reasoning.
The advice is free, but remember: you get what you pay for.
