Subject: Request: Image Orientation

I am a researcher at Encarta Encyclopedia in Seattle Washington. I have
been a member of the Orion list since the beginning of October, and this
is the first time I have posted an item to the list.

I am writing for help with an image of a Dead Sea Scroll fragment that
currently accompanies the article of that title in our encyclopedia.
During acquisition of this image, the correct orientation for the
transparency (slide) was lost. I would like to send a photocopy of this
image to someone familiar with the Dead Sea Scrolls, so that he/she
might be able to indicate its correct orientation. The Hebrew script in
the photo is barely legible, I have been told.

I am not able to make reimbursements for this service and would be
grateful for whatever assistance you can offer. If you might like to
help, you are encouraged to respond to me off-list or with a phone call
(I can call you back).

Thank you for your consideration.
