Access
The Library List features the books, dissertations, and journals available to researchers on the Orion Scholars’ Room Library shelves. Also available for your use in the Scholars Room is an extensive collection of offprints and reviews, which is still being catalogued.
The Scholars Room Library is open to researchers during the Orion Center’s regular opening hours. If you live at a distance from the University it is wise to call or e-mail ahead. PLEASE NOTE: We are NOT a lending library. Books and other Scholars’ Room resources may be used in the Library only.

Acquisitions
Although the Center has some funding for book purchases, much of our library has evolved via the donations of our colleagues. We wish to thank all of you who have donated (and continue to donate) books or offprints to the Center.
Here are three easy ways to join the Orion Center’s efforts to develop its Library for your scholarly community:
Recycle your duplicates! Do you have extra copies of books on the Scrolls and related topics (old review copies, extra authors’ copies, etc.)? Check the list to see if we already have the book, and send it along.
Designate an author’s copy! Brill authors—IF you wish to designate one of your author’s copies for Orion, Brill will send it directly to us.
Send an (e-)offprint!As always, Orion is happy to accept offprints, particularly of Revue de Qumran articles and articles in edited collections which are not so easily available on the Web. These days, many publishers prefer to send PDFs rather than paper offprints of such articles. We are happy to accept these—it gets your article into the Online Bibliography that much sooner, and we will print out a copy for the Scholars Room offprint collection.

Please mail “hard-copy” contributions directly to:
ORION CENTER,
Attn: Dr. Ruth Clements
Rm. 3102 Rabin World Center of Jewish Studies
The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Mt. Scopus Campus
Jerusalem 91905 Israel

Monetary donations may also be made towards the purchase of books. With a designated donation $100 or more, it is possible to inscribe the book in the name of the donor or to dedicate it in the name of someone else.

Thanks for all your efforts! We look forward to seeing you here!
