Re: orion-list bookshop New York

Dear Christopher,
To the best of my knowledge there is no ANE specialty shop in New York
City. I always go to Strands and look for bargains which often include ANE
stuff, especially remainders, and there are often surprises. There is also
some Judaica to be had.
If you are interested in Bible, Union Theological Seminary has an
excellent book store. Also, down Broadway from Jewish Theological
Seminary is a jewish book store with Judaica and scholarly stuff.
The Semitic Book Shop of Columbia University, run by Chayim Cohen has been
located in Omer (outside BeerSheva) for nearly two decades, so it will
cost you more thatn a subway fare to reach.
If anyone can refute my response, I will be most happy!
Victor
