orion-list Dead Sea Scrolls in Sydney: online lecture

Last night an extraordinary exhibition opened in Sydney at the Art Gallery
Of New South Wales.  It featured about 8 of the original Dead Sea Scrolls.
50,000 fragments have been found and they relate to 200 religious works plus
other material. Alomost all have been published.

An online lecture Fragments: Interpreting History can be heard directly
online through
www.abc.net.au/religion from 12.30 PM
Australian eastern standard time today 14 July. This message is being posted
at 11.22 AM AEST. There are other lectures in the next few days but not
online.

A seminar on Sunday 16 July is completely booked out: 320 people have paid.
