Subject: ane Conference on the Scrolls
The topic of the sixth annual academic conference sponsored by The
Scriptorium: Center for Christian Antiquities, located in Grand Haven, MI,
will be: The Text of the Hebrew Bible in the Light of the Discoveries in
the
Judaean Desert. The conference will be held at Hampton Court
Herefordshire,
England, from 18 to 21 June 2000. The conference, being organized by
Prof.
Emanuel Tov, Professor of Bible/Dead Sea Scrolls, Hebrew University, and
Prof. Bastiaan Van Elderen, Executive Director, The Scriptorium, will
feature
papers by the following leading scholars in the research of the biblical
scrolls from Qumran and the textual criticism of the Hebrew Bible: Abegg,
Alexander, Brooke, Daley, Flint, Herbert, van der Kooij, Lange,
Lichtenberger, Lim, Parry, Rofe, Scanlin, Talmon, Tigchelaar, Tov, Ulrich,
VanderKam, Vermes.
