SV: orion-list Allegro question #2

According to a source with knowledge of Allegro and
those who knew Allegro, Allegro "never took hallucinogenic
drugs and had no problems with alcohol as is sometimes
stated."

The question remains as to the source for the undocumented
Betz and Riesner statement. In the meantime, unless
documentation is forthcoming, or anecdotal testimony,
it appears this charge of drugs and alcohol, with respect
to Allegro, should be regarded as without foundation.

But how did such a story get started in the first place?
Maybe a little modern wicked priest peshering going on
here?
