For those who don't have a map handy, the following shows that Fred Cryer's
reading of what sites satisfy the text in Pliny is unquestionably wrong.
The "second" site (Dahari's site) is, according to the Associated Press, 20
miles from Ein Gedi .
20 miles north of Ein Gedi is near a familiar landmark, Qumran. (!)
20 miles south of Ein Gedi is far south of Masada.
20 miles west of Ein Gedi is not near the Dead Sea.
20 miles east of Ein Gedi is well into Jordan.
