Subject: KITTIM and YEVANIM

Thank you to everyone for your further clarifications. Much appreciated. I
am still wondering about the different usages of KITTIM and YEVANIM. Is it
significant that the rabbinical sources refer to Greeks as YEVANIM (and
Hellenist Jews MITYAVNIM) and not KITTIM? There must be more than a
semantic difference between their usages and those of the scrolls in this
regard.
