Dear Ian, I can't reply to all your questions so I will make only a single comment. I call God 'El `Elyon three times everyday when reciting the daily Eighteen Benedictions. The oldest Siddur I own was published in the sixties. Must I assume therefore that my Bible which was printed after my Siddur is using modern terminology in its Divine epithets? Victor Hurowitz
