Re: Scribes



In addition to the interpretation of certain parts of the OT in the DSS to
apply to the 
then contemporary scene, (i.e. the Kittem) did the scribes also write
commentary or int.rpretations that explained unclear parts of the OT not as
prophecy but as commentary? I think  that the authors of the DSS were quite
strict in obeying the Law but what about explaining biblical events?
For example, did they explain why Cain's offering was rejected and even after
denial, 
yet after he admitted his guilt, a mark was put on him to protect him from
future harm?
