I now realize that it was not Davies but this Netzarim who wrote the
sentenece for which I am quoted here:

For clarification, Mr. Lemche is correct that I wrote "I didn't suggest it
would be easy, but if scholars don't figure out the answer with some
precision and accuracy, who will? If not us, then who? If not now, then
when?"

I did not write the message that leaves the impression that Mr. Lemche wrote
this.

To show how easily this can occur, Mr. Lemche is himself guilty of the same
thing when he accuses me of having also written "Niels Peter Lemche wrote:"
In fact, *this* I did *not* write!!!

I agree with Mr. Lemche that greater care should be taken to ensure that
statements are attributed only to their correct author. Because some find
my positions threatening to them many jump to wrong conclusions and I am
*routinely* misrepresented as stating or believing things when, in fact, the
allegations are untrue. This is merely yet another example. I think Mr.
Lemche should begin by taking his own advice. It would have been easy
enough, and the logical thing, to simply ask me.
