>Is "yihyeh" here the 3rd pers. masc. sing. future of "to enliven" (yiykhyeh)
or "to be" (yihyeh)? Though I think this refers to the former, it isn't
certain to me from the transliteration.<

Neither. The original poster meant to use the pi'el form yeXayyeh, as
in meXayyeh metim, "revives the dead" (see numerous references to
resurrection of the dead found in Jewish liturgy -- though not in the Bible,
since the HB/OT does not know of such a doctrine (except for the single verse

in Daniel 12:2 -- but the inclusion of Daniel in the HB/OT turns out to have
been something of an anachronism, since the last half at least was written too
late to satisfy the rabbis' own criterion that nothing later than Malachi
ought to get into the Hebrew canon).
I think the poster who wrote yihyeh simply got the vowels wrong (i.e. misread
the binyan). I hasten to add that I don't have personal knowledge of how the
word appears in the DSS in question, but I'm quite sure that DSS Hebrew would
need to use the pi'el for the transitive meaning here, since the kal form of
X-y-hu is reserved for the intransitive meaning.
