  • On Thursday, 9 Adar, 13 March, 2003, the Orion Center arranged a tour of the Israel Museum's Shrine of the Book for members of the Hebrew University Administration.

  • The Orion Center has recently aquired a large collection of newspaper articles related to the Dead Sea Scrolls. This collection is available to scholars by appointment.
  • This new page contains the ten most frequently asked questions sent to the moderator concerning the Dead Sea Scrolls . This will be updated from time to time as more questions and queries are submitted to the Moderator. (Posted 26 July 2002)

  • Two new web sites have been added to our links page. They contain excellent pictures of the archeological site of Qumran and the individual caves. Both sites are managed by Bibleplaces. (Posted 22 July 2002)
  • Please note that the Orion Center has moved offices. We are still located on the Mt. Scopus campus, but we now reside in the Rabin World Center of Jewish Studies, Room 3102. (Posted 22 July 2002)
  • The Orion Center is renewing its Master Thesis Award for M.A. papers devoted to the Dead Sea Scrolls or its Associated Literature. (Posted 03 July 2002)
  • The May newsletter has been posted. (Posted 24 May 2002)
  • A new update has been added to the Virtual Qumran Page. (Posted 20 May 2002)
  • The index to "'Al Kanfei Yonah: Collected Studies of Jonas C. Greenfield on Semitic Studies" has been posted. (Posted 16 Mar 2002)
  • The Orion Center's "Virtual Qumran" is a project designed to redevelop and replace the current cave tour. A new page has been added providing more information on this initiative.
